Campaign for CAPEC: Support this School

busuu have been collaborating with CAPEC (Cameroon Association for the Protection and Education of the Child) since 2009. This non-governmental, non-profit organisation works to identify the needs of underprivileged children in Cameroon, supporting orphans and children from low-income families. And you can help!

We’re launching our next campaign to raise money for the charity. For every Premium subscription sold between the 15th and 25th December, we’ll make a donation.

The money will go towards replacing the old building with a modern structure, with more classrooms, to support the growing number of children that are using CAPEC’s facilities.

In 2009, CAPEC had 100 kids who started a school in the farming village of Nkolfoulou. This year the number of children has increased to 350.

As the school grades move up, the pupils are outgrowing the rooms. Class 4 students moving to Class 5 don’t have any space to learn. The funds we raise can help to change that – the better the facilities, the more children who can be supported. The success of the teaching should be matched by a new, permanent schoolhouse that keeps the children safe and able to learn optimally.

So help us raise money and keep learning a top priority this Christmas.
