Thank you for helping us raise money for a school in Cameroon

You made Christmas 2017 special for orphans and children from low-income families in Cameroon! For every Premium subscription sold between 15th and 25th of December 2017 we made a donation to CAPEC (Cameroon Association for the Protection and Education of the Child), a non-profit organisation dedicated to the promotion of child welfare. CAPEC addresses issues such as education, poor living conditions, child abuse and the lack of basic human rights.

busuu has been collaborating with the charity since 2009. Over the years we’ve helped to build new classrooms and provided educational materials and tutoring for children at a school in Nkolfouloua, a remote farming village in central Cameroon. This school provides a safe environment for children whose families cannot send them to other schools in different cities.

The money we raised over Christmas will go towards renovating the school, building more classrooms and improving the school’s facilities for up to 350 children.

Thank you again!
