But we’re not the types to get complacent so in the last few months we’ve undertaken a huuuuuge survey of all our users. We wanted to find out more so we can tailor our offerings, understand why people want to learn a language, and what makes our busuu users tick.
World Wide Data: What we Asked
We’ve collected data from around the globe surveying users from Germany to Brazil, China to France.
We wanted to know about your working habits, learning quirks, and reasons for pursuing a language. Splitting the data by region means we can make sure we’re tailoring all our developments to what you need most in each location.
Our community is one of the most important aspects to the busuu learning experience so we’re super happy to see that 95% of our Premium users would recommend us to a friend.
Language Learning Habits
We asked about your learning habits, ranging from favourite busuu features to how you learn and routines you’ve put in place.
Are you a laptop learner or an on-the-go app user? Do you sneak lessons at work or prefer home comforts? Either way, you could find out a little more about optimizing your learning by looking at which users preferred which features on different platforms.

Making Progress
We also found out how much progress our users are making. We’re happy to see that most people are able to read and understand their chosen language. But we’re also committed to making sure all our beginners move through our courses and become the best language speakers they can!
