Home » Support schoolchildren in Cameroon with busuu
Since 2009, busuu has been working with the Cameroon Association for the Protection and Education of the Child (CAPEC), a non-governmental, non-profit organisation that supports underprivileged children in Cameroon.
Over the years our customers have helped raise money towards a new school, educational materials and tutoring for children at the school. The school is located in central Cameroon, in a remote farming village called Nkolfoulou. This location is vital as many families cannot send their children to schools further away from the family home. It provides a safe environment to learn, play and grow, which all children deserve.
We’d like to express our sincerest thanks to every busuu Premium user who’s helped support CAPEC over the years. This year, we’re pleased to share that we’re extending our campaign to help raise more money for CAPEC.
For every new busuu Premium subscription sold during the month of December 2018 we will make a donation to CAPEC. This year, CAPEC will use our donation to buy computers and books for schoolchildren in Cameroon.
If you’d like to support this campaign, you can sign up to busuu Premium here. We’ll report back again in the new year after CAPEC receive our donation.
