It’s time to get personal!

Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes at busuu HQ?!

We’re about to reveal all! From 06 December we’ll be interviewing one busuu team member every 2 weeks and getting them to reveal all about their language learning experiences.

We’re kicking off the fun with our Head of Talent!

Jennifer will tell you about where she’s from, her time at busuu, and her language learning experiences so far.

How long have you been with busuu?
Two months.

Where are you from?
I’m from Ireland.

How many languages do you speak and what are they?
I’m an English native speaker but I can also speak Irish and French.

Have you experienced any funny misunderstandings when learning a new language or visiting a foreign country?
Yes, when I was in Japan I tried using some of the phrases I had learned like ‘hello’, ‘how are you’ and how to order certain things, but every time I spoke Japanese, the Japanese people would just giggle and talk to me in English.

How would you describe working at busuu?
Working at busuu is challenging, fulfilling and most of all exciting. There is so much potential for our product and the team that I can’t wait to get into the office each morning.

For me language learning means…
…being able to communicate with people you wouldn’t otherwise be able to and make the world so much more accessible.

  1. Good luck with that G, I had a similar problem for months but you’ll find you’re on your own. They don’t have adequate tech support which is why I cancelled my subscription.

    Looks like you only want the positive messages then. Doesn’t surprise me. Fact is, if you’d bothered to fix my technical issue, I’d still be a subscriber. Your loss.

      You just need to register with busuu at http://www.busuu.com and you can then add friends who speak the language you want to learn.

    I want to ask one thing. I paid 39.99 tr to be a premium user. But the busuu took 44.06 tr from my card. Even I used discount. Inform me please!

  5. can not access to bussuu premium payment done, first year was OK from 17 january not access, help please, I sanded 6 e-mails no answer from bussuu team
